The Federation of American Scientists

The Arms Sales Monitoring project works for restraint in the global production and trade of weapons.

Project staff prodece a newsletter, the Arms Sales Monitor, which reports on and analyzes United States government policies on conventional arms exports and military assistance.

The ASMP works in alliance with other Washington, DC based groups concerned about U.S. and global arms trading through the Arms Transfer Working Group.

The project also works with the media to highlight the impact and true costs U.S. and global arms sales.

L’Académie des Sciences morales et politiques tient à la dénomination que lui ont léguée ses grands fondateurs, même si elle a perdu aujourd’hui, pour la plupart des gens, la clarté qui était la sienne au XVIIIe siècle.

Les sciences morales et politiques recouvrent le champ de ce qu’on appelle aujourd’hui les sciences humaines. L’Académie est, à ce titre, la plus ancienne institution consacrée entièrement à ces sciences de l’homme.

De même que les sciences physiques avaient commencé à expliquer la nature par des lois rationnelles, il s’agissait d’étudier l’homme d’un point de vue rationnel.
